Scheduled Task will not end and it cannot be stopped or deleted.

Thread needs solution

Aronis Backup Advanced 11.5 Update 4 on Windows Server 2012
A recovery job was created to restore a single Windows Server and after it was started, at 15% the job required the targe server restarted, and when that was done, that server wasn't bootable.

In the end it was decided that restoring that server was not the best choice, so it was deleted from the domain and rebuilt.

However, that scheduled restore task that has been sitting at 15% for days. I've tried to stop/start all Acronis tasks, tried the Microsoft Process Explorer to end all Acronis tasks, rebooted the server, run the task zap, rebooted the server, and still will not stop. . . . . HELP!

Clarification about that scheduled restore task has been sitting at 15% for days. When you try to stop the job, you get a Module: trueimg_remote_full_vs_38774 Message: Failed to connect to service 'MMS'.

OF COURSE IT FAILS TO CONNECT!! That server does not exist any longer! I Need To Kill The Job!! I've tried to stop/start all Acronis tasks, tried the Microsoft Process Explorer to end all Acronis tasks, rebooted the server, run the task zap, rebooted the server, and still will not stop. . . . .

Hello Ron,

Thank you for your posting! Seems that the information about the backup task still lies in the AMS database. I would recommend to clean up the old entries using the scripts from these articles:

Next run AMS troubleshooting script with the parameter -fix.

Thank you,
