SFTP

Thread needs solution

Having issues getting Acronis workstation to SFTP to Core FTP server.
I can access the Core SFTP server via FTP and SFTP via many other clients but Acronis using SFTP hang so very long periods of time.
on the core FTP server side you can see an active connection but the acronis side doesn't seem to fully connect.

Can anyone shed some light on this subject. I tried to enable the sftp logging but per the KB but the directory doesn't seem to be getting created and no logs are found.

thank you for the help!

Hello Jay,

thank you for your question and welcome to Acronis Forum!

First of all please install the latest build of Acronis Backup and Recovery 11.5 (38350). It is important because SFTP logging was implemented in one of the latest builds.

After that please reproduce the issue and check logs again. Now they should contain relevant error messages.

Please collect the following information:

1) SFTP logs from the machine with installed Windows agent.

2) Logs from SFTP server itself

3) Check if the connection from the source machine to your SFTP server using WinSCP client is successful.

Thank you.

Yeah the Acronis SFTP part doesnt work correctly.

I have been trying to get support for the last 15 days.

Their Knowledge Base article showing how to enable sftp.log files does not work either.

Hi Nathan,

your support case is being investigated and now it was escalated to expert team. Thank you in advance for your patience.

As for KB article, can you please clarify what exactly doesn't work for you?

Thank you,
