[SOLVED] Acronis Managed Machine Service on AMS

Thread needs solution

Hello,

I'm trying to get some info from the acrocmd tool, for example list plans and importing archives. However, all commands fail because with these errors:

The versions of the command-line tool (11.5.43916) and the agent (0.0.0) are different.

and

Failed to connect to Acronis Managed Machine Service.

I understand that the Acronis Managed machine service gets installed only with the Acronis agent, but I am running these commands from the AMS server. So the question is how can I use there commands from a machine with AMS and AMC installed?

Thanks
L

I guess the only way to do this is to execute the commands from a machine with Acronis Agent installed.

Hi EOSguy,

Thank you for your question! Acronis Command-line utility does not contain any tools that physically execute the commands. It merely provides the command-line interface to Acronis Backup components—agents, storage nodes and the management server. If you want to get information from a particular Agent, you should provide the IP address or host name of the machine that has an Acronis Backup agent installed and the respective credentials. Please refer to the following article for more information. If you want to view the current tasks and activities of the management server and are getting the error, please first of all check the syntax, check that you have specified proper credentials and the service name (--service=ams).

Thank you!
