Is there any method to full-automatic recovery using B&R 11.5?

Thread needs solution

Hi all,

The story is simple: we created a CentOS backup image for our portable PC. But our sales teams in the branch offices are not so comfortable to boot into the B&R bootable media and click all the way to restore the image. I checked the manual but found no option or scripting available to full automate the recovery process, so I would like to ask if there is any method to do so? What I would like to do is to make a single bootable DVD that runs B&R and restore the specified archive unattended.

Hello Neil Wen,

Thank you for posting this question in our forum. I am happy to assist you.

When using a CD/DVD or USB device as backup destination, you are able to activate the bootable components in the backup options. Navigate in your backup plan to the Backup options and activate the Acronis Bootable Agent and One-Click Restore feature.

If you need additional assistance, please create a system report of the affected machine and contact support. You will find all available support options in our Customer handbook.

If there is anything else we can do for you, please let me know.

Thank you.

There is a "One-click restore" feature, that allows you to create a bootable media that will restore entire computer to the backed up state, but it requires Backup & Recovery to be installed on the system being imaged and a server license (linux is server ) for each deployed laptop. You may consider Snap Deploy that requires less clicks for deployment in your scenario, however it can read archives created by Backup & Recovery 11, but not 11.5 ( http://kb.acronis.com/content/1689 )
