Unable to auto delete the old backup in the external hardisk and backup fail
Hello,
We have purchased the Acronis Backup and recovery 11.5 and have configured to do the full backup once per week. The backup source is drive C of the server and destination is 500GB WD external hardisk. The entire of drive C is about 200GB. After it did the first full backup to the WD external hardisk, it will automatic convert into the VM. So, the total of the WD external hardisk is almost full after the first full backup(backup + VM) because it only have 500GB space.
We have configured Acronis Backup and recovery 11.5 to delete those old backup in the WD external hardisk for more than 1 week, however, we found out the backup fail when it tried to perform the second time full backup. By right, it should automatically delete the old backup + VM since there is no more space and then perform the full backup after.
Is this a bug on Acronis Backup and recovery 11.5 ?

Sure, we did not do any modification on the backup plan like change archive name or saving path. No any modification. The archive name is provided by Acronis itself. Do you mean we need to delete old backup(archives) ourself, that mean it is a big bug which Acronis need to resolve ? We do not want to delete old backup ourself, this is very tedious. Why other backup software dont have such problem ? They can auto delete the old backup themself. Should we return the product to Acronis ?

Normally it works fine for me. I'm sorry, I have no idea what could cause your Problem. I suggest, you should contact the support and open a trouble-ticket.
