Hi CeruleanX,

Thank you for your posting! Please refer to the following article.

Thank you,

Disk in backup plan is identified by its NT signature. When the plan was configured, it was '72D9BC32'. Now either no disks are found at all, or the disk signature was changed. Did it it start to fail after disk restore operation? Can you edit the backup plan and select the disk in 'data to backup' again?

I finally have an update since I first reported this problem, it appears that the posts by both Ekaterina Surkova and Fedor Larin above are on the right track, after reading the article linked by Ekaterina I edited the backup plan and revised the items to backup. It worked successfully for the next two scheduled backups, but the third backup failed with the same errors as previous.

When I edited the backup plan again, I noticed that the "Items to backup up..." section was showing as "Resolving", having waited for short while without the disk/volume resolving I removed it and re-added it, it now instantly showed "Disk1" as the item to back up, so I saved the back-up plan.

I then went back in to edit the backup plan, to find it was stuck on "Resolving" again, I repeated the steps above, only this time when I went back into edit it resolved the disk/volume instantly.

The backup then worked for a few days, but then the "Resolving" symptom started again, if I edit the plan and re-select it, the backup usually works again, but only for a short-time, any ideas what may be causing this?

This problem has occurred since day one of Acronis being installed onto a new server, the O/S was installed using HP's Intelligent Provisioning as a clean O/S install and has not been restored from a backup or image.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Hello,

Are you creating backups for all the disks on this system? How many disks do you have? What sort of physical storage medium is this (plain local HDD, RAID array, iSCSI, etc.)?

Thank you.
