Uninstall / remove crashes Windows
I try to permanently and completely remove Acronis B & R 11.5 (full version).
I ran the uninstall program and chose complete removal to delete the protocol’s log, tasks, vaults, and configuration settings too. It seemed as simple as it should be.
Next time, however, my Windows (7 Ultimate 64 bit) just would not start. I tried everything, eventually I had to restore the system from a backup image (not by Acronis). I would not believe it, repeated three times with the same outcome!
Then I uninstalled the components one by one (Agent core, Command-line tool, Tray monitor, Agent for Windows, Bootable media builder, Management console). It seemed OK.
Later, however, I noticed that the Uninstall program was still there. I ran it, it said nothing to remove. The list of this nothing filled more than three pages when I searched for Acronis in the File manager. I made four screenshots just in case, then deleted all of them. It seemed all right at last.
Next time my windows would not start! I needed to restore everything from the disaster recovery back-up again.
How can I get rid of this program up to the last bit?
