Is it possible to restore an OS image from Desktop PC to a Laptop PC using Universal Restore?
I had tried to use the Universal Restore to restore the image to laptop but it is not allow me to install any driver there. It keeps saying "No OS found". Can I know why is that so?

Which Acronis Backup product do you use? Which language/build? Did you use regular Acronis Backup media or media with UR only?

Hi ,

I am using Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5 as a bootable program . I just normal backup the desktop pc as an image. When I tried to restore this image to a laptop pc there is no "Universal Restore" option. So I just restored image to the laptop but not succeed. What should I do and can I know why there is suddenly no universal restore? Actually I had already tried in many times. But when I try restore an image to desktop pc, the universal restore option is there.

1) So, is UR not available (as per your latest post) or it is available but it cannot find the operating system when applied (as per your 1st post)?
2) Did you try to click "Apply Universal Restore" in bootable media AFTER the image has been restored?
