Update to Acrionis B&R 11.5

The problem is that you don't have 11.5 Virtual Edition license. 11 Virtual Edition is a previous version and 11.5 SBS is not 11.5 VE and not an upgrade for 11 VE. You need aditionally an 11.5 Virtual Edition upgrade license.

The 11.5 Edition should work with all Licenses from 10 - 11.5.

This was told me from an Support from Monday. Case Number: 01880432.

Usally i think in the Management Console are all features included and disabled. If you have a license for the Exchange or VE or SBS the feature should be enabled and everything should working fine.

I´ve called the german office an they told me, that this is possible.

It 'works' in that sense that license server of version 11.5 accepts these licenses and display them properly. However agent of version 11.5 requires license of 11.5. To enable features of Virtual Edition it has to be Virtual Edition license, either full or the pair of previous version+upgrade. Which licenses do you have on the LS ?

1) license for B&R 11 VE, that allows agentless backup with agent of version 11.
2) license for 11.5 SBS Upgrade ,that combined with license of Recovery for Exchange SBS( displayed as Backup&Recovery for Exchange) allows you to backup up Exchange data with agent of version 11.5 on SBS server only.

You cant perform backup of disks, files and virtual machines with 11.5 with this set of licenses.

It is possible to add the Exchange Agent with my license in the B&R 11 Managment Console?

As it's an Advanced edition, it's possible to add it to the Management Server (the console is a remote management tool, nothing is added to it itself) and manage it remotely.

I found no way to Backup the Exchange Server directly from the Management Server, like the virtual machines.

I have only a seperate Console for the Exchange Server.

Could you explain, how i can Backup the Exchange Server directly from my Management Console.

You need to install Agent for Exchange Server (version 11.5) on the machine where Exchange runs. Then, if this machine was not yes added to Management Server, add it. Then start creating backup plan, in the dialog to select items to backup switch from ;disks/volumes' to exchange databases or mailboxes.
"Separate console" might be the console for Acronis Recovery for Exchange (build 239 or like) that is not compatible with Backup & Recovery infrastructure.

So i have installed all the needed agents on the sbs server.
Now i can select the server in the acronis management console on my backup server.

Now i tried to backup the mailboxes and the public folders. The backup is still running since 5 hours.

Is that normal. In the recovery console v239 it was very faster.

The backup of the virtual machine are working now correctly. I have upgrade to version 11.5 and everything works fine.

Mailbox backup is slower than IS backup. You can try to use it instead, and enable metainformation collection down to e-mail level to enable granular recovery.
