Using commandline tool acrocmd with tape library
We have a tape library and want to change (eject, import, inventory, ...) the tape in a more easy way the gui interface offers.
With "acrocmd list tape_slots --address=(ip storage node) --service=asn" we get a list of all tapes which are available in the library.
The tapes within a pool are labled like "servername-pXX-tYY". The pools are rotating every week (4 Pools per destination server/group) and the pool which was used for last week should be exported for transfering to a safe (for security, fire, ...).
How can I eject all tapes for pool "servername-p01-..."and import them a few weeks later in a easy way. Doing this via gui it takes avery long time. Ejecting the tapes its more easy than importing them. For importing I need to put each tape to mail-slot and need to press the inventory button - which takes about 90-120 seconds. Is there a way to import them in a faster way and to start the fast inventory after loading all tapes?
Best regards, Stefan

Hi Andrey,
I think in 11.7 there are no additional features. But will there be any new features in version 12 which is planned for second half of this year?
Best regards,, Stefan

Yes, we definitely have plans to improve tape support in the Advanced product of version 12. It also relates to acrocmd improvements.

Command line interface commands instruct the system to do specific data cartridge management, cleaning cartridge management, and service-oriented procedures. Many of the procedures that are started with the command line interface commands cannot be started through the TS4500 management GUI.
