What happened to Disk Management?

Thread needs solution

I just noticed that the latest version 11.5.43994 does not have disk management anymore, unless they moved it to a place I can't find. This tool was useful when prepping a drive before the restore.

I noticed this when I was doing a restore to an external drive and Acronis did not see it, so I figured I pop into the disk manager and see whats up. Low and behold, it is gone.

What's up Acronis?

I looked at the help and here is what it states

If you run Acronis Backup Management Console, and connect it to a managed machine, the Disk management view will be available in the Navigation tree of the console, with which you can start Acronis Disk Director Lite.

So does this mean you have to install Acronis Disk Director Lite in order for it to appear in the Management Console?

Hello TucsonPC,

Thank you for your posting! The functionality of Acronis Disk Director Lite is not available under Windows 8/8.1, Windows Server 2012/2012 R2. For all other supported operating systems proceed as follows: connect to the Agent directly via "Manage this machine" or "Machines with Agents - Connect directly" see attached screenshots (OS Windows Server 2008)

Thank you,

I found out that the Disk Management is disabled for Windows 2012/8/10. I certainly hope they make it available again in Acronis version 12, which I was told is soon coming.
