Why do obsolete products continue to appear on Download Page?

Thread needs solution

Software that we purchased from Acronis some seven (7) years ago continues to appear on our Download Page. Support says that nothing can be done about that, and in fact the obsolete products must appear forever in order to evidence entitlements to subsequent upgrades.

Can this be correct?

Seems fair enought to me, you've paid for a licence to install and run the software, and some users might have systems of varying age and OS', so if someone is running W2K they may still only want to use Echo on that machine but ABR11.5 on their latest W2008/2013 Server.

If they have a catastrophic failure and manage to lose their installers or the installers become corrupt, then they can still download them from their account.

I agree - this is frustrating - it makes the user interface cluttered; I bought the software and should therefore have the option to remove it from the portal view. If nothing else, Acronis should provide an option to 'archive' it so it's not on the front page.
