Why should I upgrade from 11?

Thread needs solution

I've looked through the web site and don't see any information on what's new and improved in 11.5. I'm currently using 11 Workstation. I'll pay to upgrade if there's a good reason to do so, but haven't been able to find any info.

Also, why no Windows 8 support when the consumer product has it?

Thanks,
Michale

Not many companies will change over to W8 when it is officially released (and ABR11.5 is aimed at the corporate sector). I seem to recall though that ABR11.5 will become compatible though an update some time after the official reelase of W8.

If you want to backup Exchange 2010 with ABR then there's your reason. That's about the only new feature I spotted on the 11.5 release notes.

If you want (very) basic support, you'll need to be on active maintenance. Support will ask you to update to the latest build on every occasion (and 11.0 is EOLed). So you're pretty much forced to update if you're in that situation.

Other than that, if your backups and restores are working, I wouldn't see a reason to upgrade.
