Windows 8 Support

Thread needs solution

Please provide clarification or workaround on Windows 8 support by ABR. In our organization we have several desktops with Windows 8 already and we can't provide any backup services with Acronis.

In the meantime, some users are using the True Image trial, which does support it, but only with a temporary key.

Ironic that your consumer oriented product supports the new OS before your Enterprise/Busniess solutions.

Kind regards,

I've been told that ABR11.5 will be made W8 compatible once W8 has been officially released.

I assume the reason for 2013 being mostly compatible and ABr11.5 not, is that home users are more likely to run W8 before many corporate environments. For example the company I work for refuses to move from XP for the bulk of their workstations.
