WinPe NIC Drivers for Dell Latitude E5570

Thread needs solution

I have downloaded the WinPE Cab from Dell's site for both the PE5.0 and PE6.0. When I run through the Media Builder, it seems to pull in all drivers successfully. I allow the media builder to automatically get the PE files.

I am using x86 and the x86 drivers.

I have the latest hotfix already installed for 11.7

When I boot into the PE environment, There is no NIC available to image the machine to the network. It has the Intel I219 chipset. I was unable to get this to work for either environment - 5.0 or 6.0. I WAS able to get it to work with PE 4.0, however I was getting an error on the image creation.

This is from a fresh install of 11.7, not an upgrade.

I appreciate any help!

Hello Nicholas,

Could you please post the link to the cab file for driver you were trying?

Also, do you know the PCI ID of the NIC on this machine?

Thank you!

Ok, so I sort of found a way around this. I used the "load driver" in the Acronis software on boot. I had to load each driver manually until I found the correct one. Then I re-created the media injecting ONLY the correct driver and it worked.

In the past I would just inject every x86 driver and it seemed that WinPE would install the correct one. That is apparently not the case now, at least for these drivers. I did see very similar drivers in there for other Intel NICs. It may be that they are indeed too closely related and the wrong driver was loaded.

I am having a different problem now. When I go to image it, it immediately fails with muyltiple errors. Error codes 41, 33, 20263, and two more 20's. I have the full copy-paste below:
