Thread needs solution

Hi everybody and I`m really grateful you are using your help for supporting me!

I have a imaige from a old computer running on Windows XP, the imaige is taken with Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5.

We have not purchase a new computer who is close as possible to the same hardware, Elite Desk 800 G2 SFF.

When I try to boot up the computer with the Acronis boot CD I burned with the imaige I had, is the computer start booting,
when it almost finish booting is a error appear on the screen, please see attached Picture01.

I tired to make a new boot CD by using these guide:

Looks like from the first image that there had been drivers changes on the new p.c. from the original one, hence the image you are restoring from doesn't have the required files to startup the system.

The second image again looks like the new boot cd that you have made doesn't have the required drives to detect the new hardware.

When creating the new boot cd did you add the new drivers for the new machine when prompted at the universal restore section?

I want to clear away i there are any misunderstadings, I have not restored any imaige yet.
Both pictures are from booting of Acronis universal boot CD.
the first one is the old imaige I have who was made for these imaiges and the last one has I made today.

I was not adding any drivers when I was making the boot CD... I was hoping it was working.
When I go to HP homepage I cannot find drivers for the new computer for Windows Xp, only 7 and 10....
Can I use 32bit drivers for Windows 7 in Windows XP?

When I follow the guide for making a new boot CD today, it state I can add the drivers later when the boot CD is finish booted up and are ready for starting restore, the drives is not used for booting up acronis from the Cd, have I misunderstood something here ???

Can It be a soloution to take a computer who already have windows running and add the disc from the new computer, running Acronis universal restore in windows and restore the imaige two the extra disc, will I be able to add the drivers then? after complete restore the imaige, move the disc  back to the new computer I want to setup?

So I need to add drivers to the universal CD, when I creating it to be able to boot up Acronis universal?

Thank you all for using time on me !

Hello Gordon,

try to use a WinPE-based bootable media for better compatibility with your hardware. Here you'll find step-by-step instructions on how to create a WinPE-media with Acronis plugin.

Note for Windows XP users: as Microsoft has stopped Windows XP support on April 8, 2014, more and more hardware manufacturers discontinue testing their harware for compatibility with Windows XP, thus you may experience issues when/after restoring a Windows XP system to new hardware. Please consult your hardware manufacturer to make sure the new hardware is compatible with Windows XP.

Please refer to the following article Acronis Backup: Restoring to Dissimilar Hardware with Universal Restore for further steps.

Thank you,
