ABR 11.5 restore fails and deletes OS on target PC

Thread needs solution

I successfully made 3 backups of my machine (meaning I receive no errors when the backup completes) yet when I try to do a restore, I receive the following error "(Machine: 'localhost'; Task: 'MyRecover_1') The file is corrupted."
How can I check if my backups are indeed corrupted?
By the way, I have tried to load the restores to the same machine and to a different machine (identical machine, HPZ1) with the same result so I do not think my problem is mismatch hardware or missing drivers. The most frustrating part of this problem is that every time that the restore fails, I have to reinstall the OS (win7 x64 pro) by using the recovery disks provided by HP.
I am using ABR 11.5 from a bootable USB. Let me know if more info is needed regarding my problem. Thank you in advance.

You can validate backup (from ABR installed on Windows or from bootable disk). In bootable media GUI it's a button on the welcome page, in Windows - somewhere in Actions menu
