Access Denied to Vault

Thread needs solution

Hi all,

I'm currently evaluating ABA and want to test a recovery using the bootable media but am running into a problem. I can't access the Storage Node or any vault no matter what credentials I use.

I have created the management server, storage node and vault using my network admin account, but if I use those credentials to login to a SN or Vault, it just locks the account on AD.

I've tried adding other user accounts to the permissions on the Vault but still can't get access.

So far this is the big hold up on wether or not we purchased ABA...

Thanks,

John

John,

By default the centralized managed vaults can be accessed by any user from Administrators group on the machine where Acronis Storage Node (ASN) is installed. The list of users who has access is defined when you create the vault.

The bootable media accesses centralized vaults in the same way it is accessible from any other agent installed on the protected machines. See some screen shots in attach illustrating the vault setup which is "managed" vault in my case. This vault is accessed from bootable media environment by "PM" user which is included in Administrators group on ASN machine.

Most likely there is some miscofiguration or misconception made in your particular case, so it makes sense to check the issue with our support team who can guide you through the process.

Thank you.
