Acronis 11.7 restoring backup failed with error 6

Thread needs solution

Acronis 11.7 restoring backup failed with error 6, so it seems like a partition sizing issue. How would I resolve an issue like this?

Thanks

Hello Adam,

First of all I'd recommend updating to 50088 to make sure your installation has all recent fixes. Next I'd check the target drive for possible errors (use chkdsk /f /r on all drives or a diagnostic utility of the hardware manufacturer). If the issue persist and the diagnostic tool don't reveal any problems, please share more details on the how the image was restored (what was the file system in the source image and on a target drive; did you use the auto-resizing or mapped the volumes manually?)

Thank you,
