acronis backups

Thread needs solution

Hi,

1. I execute the SQL query “SELECT * FROM ArchivesAndBackups” and there are some machines that I can see in the vault but there are missing when I execute the SQL query (the same issue if I run the report "Archive" from the GUI). Why?
2. Sometimes the backup is stopped (See screenshot) – can I configure that if it’s happens it will continue automatically (ignore all) without interaction?
And when this error occurs?
3. Is it possible to define backup of the folder c:\users\ido\documents , but to exclude to folder c:\users\ido\documents\XXX ?

Thanks
Ido

Hi,
1. Looks like a bug. Maybe, the machine names contain unusual symbols or the machines are backed up by Agent for Exchange.
2. Try to enable the silent mode (http://www.acronis.com/support/documentation/ABR11.5/index.html#1302.ht…). The reason of the error is in the lowermost string. It is not seen on your screenshot.
3. Yes, but be sure to specify the full path starting from the drive letter (http://www.acronis.com/support/documentation/ABR11.5/index.html#743.html)

Thank you for your help.
1. Is there any way to solve this issue?
This is necessary because I want to use this SQL query (see below).
The result will return all the machines with agent without any backup in the vault.
Maybe there is another option to check it?

Select * from Machines where ManagedEntityType = 'PHYSICAL MACHINE' and not exists
(Select * from ArchivesAndBackups where ArchivesAndBackups. MachineName = Machines. Name )

More 2 new questions please :
2. From the management console I can export the licenses list to XML, but in the XML have details only with the serial numbers.
There is any way to get a list with serial numbers but to know which serial is linked to each machine?
3. If I delete a machine from AMS - the license is still exists and I need to revoke the license manualy.
Is it possible that if I delete a machine from AMS - the license of this machine will revoke automatically?

Thanks

Hello IT Team,

Thank you for posting this question in our forum. I am happy to assist you.

I want to thank elenal for supporting you.

Here are my answers for your questions:

To your points:

  1. Can you please define, at which point you run this SQL query? Have you seen that the Acronis Management Server Dashboard is a great way to monitor the entire backup environment? Additionally you can specify E-mail or SNMP notifications. You also can use Windows events. And you can let create reports that may fit your recommendations best.
  2. Unfortunately, no. The XML file only contains the license keys. The bindings are not exported.
  3. Unfortunately, no. There is no way to unbind the license automatically.

If you need additional assistance, please contact support. You will find all available support options in our Customer handbook.

If there is anything else we can do for you, please let me know.

Thank you.
