Agent on Ubuntu 14.04

Thread needs solution

Hello,

i tried to install acronis agent on ubuntu 14.04 according to the following
kb-article: https://kb.acronis.com/content/1676.

If i try to add the machine to the management server if will get an authentication failure.
The auth.log on the ubuntu machine looks like this:

I put the libs into /lib/i386-linux-gnu instead of /lib32/.
What's wrong?

Hello Rafael,

Are you able to connect to the agent from the console? Have you tried adding the agent from the AMS server itself? What is the error message in this case (in the GUI)?

if i try to connect to the agent from the console, i'll get "authentication failed". It's the same like adding it

(Meanwhile I moved the .so files from /lib/i386-linux-gnu to /lib32 to follow the instructions on the kb-article exactly.)

according to the internal records in the support ticket opened for a previous poster, the issue was resolved as follows:

- specified the License Server per IP-address in the Acronis Management Server options

- connected to the Agent directly and tied it to the Acronis Management Server as per https://kb.acronis.com/content/46110
