Backing up a cloud server
Hi,
We have a number of Cloud servers (with Rackspace). They are actually running on VMWare 4. Some are in the private cloud and some public.
I need to be able to back them up to standard (local) network storage and of course I need to be able to restore them.
The catch is that we don't have any console access so we can only Backup and, crucially Restore, from within Windows.
Can we perform a full OS restore in this scenario?
Is Acronis able to support this scenario?
Thanks
Steve

Hi,
I have one file server running Windows 2008 R2 Enterprise 32bit. I am backing up locally to an external hard drive using Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5 . Yesterday, my firm accepted my suggestion to purchase the Acronis Cloud backup service as well. I purchased the 1.5TB and activated/registered the license on line. My problem is when I want to setup the cloud backup using the same software in the server, I get stocked in the "location" and it looks like is trying to connect or access the on line location. I have already tested the rpc.acronis.com 443 to make sure that the port is open and it is open. So, I greatly appreciated if someone could tell me the step by step instruction on how to setup the cloud backup. I have already searched the Internet and Acronis website. I followed what the data sheet of Acronis suggested but as I mentioned before I get stock in the "Location" part of setting up the backup.
Your assistance is sincerely appreciated
