Backup fails with error and without error.
I tried to use Acronis Backup&Recovery v10 under VMWare.
It works fine under core2duo cpu.
When I upgraded to core2 Quad, I start to get error during backup under vmware "Unable to allocate memory".
I went back to core2 duo. All was fine.
Now I have FX-8320 cpu.
Got the same error.
Tried to use version 11.5. - backup hungs with no errors reporting.
Seems it can't handle multicore cpu.
Though it fails even with 1 cpu assigned to vm.
What is wrong?
Will it work?
Just tried Virtual Server edition - same error "Unable to allocate memory".
Just tried vmprotect edition - same error "Unable to allocate memory".
I dunno what is that...
Same at virtualbox.
increased IRPStackSize to 48 DEC.
Didn't help though.
Error persists. Second attach.
Mouse also works badly in virtual box.
Problen somewhere in the core of agent I suppose...
P.S. memory and cpu are tested thotoughly - at nominal.

LATER
Found some kind of solituion:
read this:
http://alan.lamielle.net/2009/09/03/windows-7-nonpaged-pool-srv-error-2…
Delete IRPStackSize entry - it's useless in this case.
DL:
ACRONIS_LAN_FIX.zip
Add to windows 7 regestry,
do:
net stop server
net stop lanmanserver
net start server
net start lanmanserver
Seems to work fine after that.
