Backup Failure (see log messages)

Thread needs solution

I had two backups fail this weekend. I re-ran the first without incident. The second failed despite my repeated attempts. Any suggestions?

thank you for using Acronis software.

This error usually informs you about that it could not access the backup location. In most situations, that happens, when backing up to a NAS. Ensure to use this format for your credentials:

  • NAS_Name\NAS_User
  • NAS_Name.local\NAS_User

If this does not fit to your environment, please provide more detailed description of the environment and storage of your backups.

I am backing up to an unmanaged centralized vault on local disk. I am using ABR 11 Virtual Edition on W2K8R2 to back up W2K3 VMs. I have tried performing the backups using the plan credentials as well as a domain admin accout.

There is no NAS involved.

Which hypervisor you are using? 

I checked your account and could upgrade your product for free to Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5. You can now upgrade to this version and check if your problem persist.

I am using Hyper-V.

I have the downloads and upgrade licenses. Am I to upgrade just the management server or do I need to install the Windows Agent and Hyper-V Agent on the hyper-v hosts as well?
