Backup Slow

Hi everybody,
I got a really confusing problem. I am using ABR to backup virtual machines form a hyper-v server 1 over the network to another server2.
There are two depots one for internal (raid drive in server2) and one for external (usb drive connected at server2).
If i am using the internal depot the speed is switching between 5 mb/s and 10 mb/s and if i am using the external depot it is 45 mb/s to 70 mb/s.
How is that possible? It is the same server the same network card...
One more inexplicable thing: simple file transfer via copy - paste is no problem for each drive. The difference is present only with acronis.
any ideas?
