Hello.

First, sorry for the bad English.

Second. I've problems to backup a VM thar have the Acronis installed. Example:

VM - SERVER01

     DISK1 = Acronis instalation, windows and some apps

     DISK2 = Third Softwares

My problem is just when I run a job to backup that full VM. The job starts and take down my NAS for minutes. That's interfere to another backups, because the alert of "need interaction" stay on.

If i try backup only de DISK2 (Without Acornis instalation) the backup success.

My question is about that. If Acronis can or can't run a backup of own VM.

Thanks for any help.

Hi!

Thank you for your posting! Would you mind sharing more details on the environment? What Agent is installed on the affected VM? What hypervisor is used? Have you checked the log of the operation with the warning? Are there any messages that indicate what action is required from the user when "interaction needed"  warning appears?

Thank you,

Hi!  Of course!

And Sorry, I forgot to tell some information. That VM is my Backup Server.

Is installed the Agent Core, Licence Server, Management Console / Server, Agent for Windows and some apps.

The Hypervisor is a XenServer.

I checked the log and the only information is that the software can't found a place to backup and the message need interaction is just to reestabilish the connection to the storage. But, always when i press "retry" on the message, the same problem persist, take down my NAS again..

Actually, I'm doing backup only of the second partition of this VM, to don't stop other backups.

In such configuration there shouldn't be any limitations for backup, as Xen machines are backed up with the Agents running in the guest OS, so basically the same way we back up physical machines. To localize the issue, I'd create a separate plan for the affected VM and try running it\try selecting another storage\scheduling backup to another timeframe.
