Bundled SQL Express version for AMS on 11.7 vs 12.5 Advanced

Thread needs solution

The bundled version of SQL Express for 11.7 Advanced is SQL 2008. This version is causing update errors with Windows update (installing SQL 2008 SP3) on Windows Server 2016 since the Windows 10 based products (such as Windows Server 2016) no longer support SQL 2008.  Is there a newer bundled version of SQL on a fresh install of 12.5 advanced?

Hello Brent

In Acronis Backup Advanced 12.5, you can either specify an external MS SQL DB to be used by Acronis Management Server. You can select any edition of Microsoft SQL Server 2012, Microsoft SQL Server 2014, or Microsoft SQL Server 2016. Alternatively, you can download and install MS SQL Express.

If SQL instance is not specified, then the built-in database (SQLite) is used.

In Acronis Backup Advanced 11.7, you can select any edition of Microsoft SQL Server 2005, Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2008 R2, Microsoft SQL Server 2012, Microsoft SQL Server 2014, or Microsoft SQL Server 2016.

Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Express will be used by default.
