Can you create xml from Acronis boot media?

Thread needs solution

We are using Acronis usb boot media to create archives of some of our PC's. We've run into situations where the xml file does not get created as part of the archive, but we successfully create the TIB file. Is there a way to create the xml file from the boot media as part of the recovery process? We're using V11.5 of the boot media. I've tried using the Refresh button when I browse to the vault location, but this doesn't seem to do anything.

Thank you for your help!

Hello Michael,

Welcome to Acronis forums! If some backup archives are not displayed in the Archive view of the Recovery wizard, then the only way to detect then is using the Refresh button. The procedure is outlined in Acronis Backup 11.5: Bootable Media Does Not Show Backups Created from Previous Version.

If backups are stored in a managed vault, take a look at Acronis Backup Advanced 11.7/11.5: Unable to Detect Backups in Managed Vault under Acronis Bootable Media (creation of a managed vault requires the desktop components to be installed, so if you are purely using a bootable media, this is likely not your scenario)

Additionally, I'd recommend using a bootable media for the latest available build to exclude any known issues that have been already fixed.

Thank you,
