Cannot recover image to same disk - "Failed to copy disks"
I have created an image (full backup and 2 more incremental) that I was able to restore before without issue.
I am re-doing my system and when I try to restore the disk image, I am now getting the error messages "Recover to 'Disk 4' to: Not specified
Failed to copy disks.
This is the same physical drive I have made the image from.
I am using a 11.7 44184 with a Win 8.1 PE bootable image.
I also tried with an older version 11.5 38929 Win PE bootable image but get the same result.
Any ideas? This thing has me held hostage right now :P Thanks.

Hi Jury,
Is there any status update on the 11.7 WinPE not working with the Windows 10 ADK? So far, the 3 VM's I have tested 11.7 on, none of them detect that the ADK is installed when using Windows 10 ADK. Acronis media builder keeps prompting me to download the ADK even though it's already installed and working fine with other WinPE creation on other applications.
There's another thread about this that hasn't been addressed by anyone yet and it does appear to be a bug in 11.7. I have submitted feedback through the app and Gaidar mentioned he has passed it onto the develpers to take a look at as well.

This is the latest version as per my message.
Windows 10 PE cannot be created at this time due to a bug in Acronis, so I created a Win PE8.1 boot media disk.
I had to work around this problem by doing a fresh Windows 10 install, but only using the initial install process to delete the partions and then let windows re-create them. Then I used acronis to restore each partition separately.

Well, I am back again with the same issue, this time using Acronis12.5 Update4 Build 13499, with WinPE bootable media 1903
I have an image created from a NVME SSD and I am trying to restore to the same NVME SSD after a secure erase. I am unable to select the SSD in restore as I get the dreaded "Failed to copy disks" error.
I always do full disk backups/restores, but seems something wrong. One other piece of information is that I have removed a hard drive from the system not related to any backups. I don't know if this has thrown off acronis.

Well, I disconnected all the drives from my system so only the SSD is there, and restored over the network and I could select the SSD no problem.
I really wish they would solve this problem once and for all
