Creating UEFI Boot for multiple Acorns products

Thread needs solution

I have a MBR boot disk (a small USB hard drive) that contains all my disk images, created with Backup 11.7. I want to be able to boot in UEFI mode so that I can clone drives that come standard with UEFI boot (as most do now). Trying to do this while booted in MBR mode is a little wonky.

I used GRUB4DOS before to accomplish this, and was able to run a password clear utility, AVG, Backup 11, Backup 10 (this I care less about now) and Disk Director 12, all from ISO files.

I'd like to simply be able to do this but booting from a GPT/UEFI disk. I can't figure out how to do it, though.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Hello Mike,

Take a look at the following discussion (another product, but the idea should be the same) https://forum.acronis.com/comment/445329#comment-445329

Basically, to use the media on different types of hardware, select both 32-bit or 64-bit components. When booting a machine from the resulting media, you will be able to select 32-bit or 64-bit components on the boot menu. So, if the target machine's hardware supports UEFI, you'll be able to boot in the UEFI mode. See Linux-based bootable media

Please also note that the UEFI support in Acronis Backup 11.7 has some limitations, see Support for UEFI-based machines

Thank you,
