Disk unsupported, no format option. Version 11.5.43916

Thread needs solution

There's no option to format a disk in the disk management menu. Only a delete option. In earlier versions (update 5), it did have a format option.

Also, it shows the disks as unsupported.
This is using both Linux and WinPE 5 recovery medias.

Your help is appreciated! as the format option is very important to me.

OS: Windows 8.1 x64
MBR

See attached for details.

Hi

I think that "format" action is hidden because partition is shown as "unsupported". Try to delete the partition and create new one.

Thanks for your reply.

May I know why it's being identified as "unsupported"?

We didn't support storage spaces in the boot media, this may be a reason for "unsupported".
I see that your flash drive is also shown as "unsupported", which is weird.
