downtime when backup-ing Debian Hyper-V virtual machine

Thread needs solution

I am trying to backup a virtual machine running Debian on Hyper-V, Windows Server 2012 (not R2).
I have Acronis Backup Advanced 11.5.
When i start the backup of the virtual machine the virtual machine gets some downtime (i checked it by running a continuous ping to it).
What is the recommended solution so that i have zero downtime while performing a backup ?

Hi,

The VM may go into saved state while taking its snapshot if the "Backup (Volume Checkpoint)" option is not enabled in the Integration tools properties in VM settings. You should make sure that integration services are running in the machine and this option is set. See attached screen shot. If this doesn't help then contact our support team for further assistance.

Thank you.
