Failed Installation of Exchange Add-On

Thread needs solution

Just started a trial yesterday of Acronis Backup Advanced, specifically for our Exchange servers. However, every time I go to install the add-on, I get a message that simply says "Internal Error". No other messages to help point towards the cause. Windows Event Viewer shows the error as "Product: Acronis Backup 11.5 Agent for Exchange -- Internal error", event 1013. Anyone else had this problem and a way to fix it? I'm impressed with the software so far, but this sours my view.

Running build 11.5.43994 (Update 6).

Hello Brian,

Thank you for your posting! Please make sure you are installing the Agent for Exchange as described in the following part of the docu, especially Requirements. I would also recheck the user rights for Exchange.

Thank you,

I followed the install instructions exactly when first trying to install the addon, and it didn't work.

The user account controlling the backups and Acronis has the required rights.

I believe this to be a faulty installer. Is there a link to a good one?

FYI: I've already had Acronis Support remote into the servers and they were unable to install it either, even after uninstalling and using the cleanup tool. They promised to get back to me, and they did not. Support has been subpar so far this trial. I like the product, but if this is a trend, I will look elsewhere for a backup solution.
