Full backup hangs -> Locking Partition 0-0
Hello,
I am using Acronis Backup & Recovery 11 (see attached screenshot) for more than 1 Month on one server (Windows Server 2008 R2). Since last week, full backup task was performing without the problem. After weekend (every weekend we have windows updates), full backup is hanging on task "Locking partition 0-0". This task with "Locking partition 0-0" appears 2 minutes after backup starts, and backup is hangin on 15% for more than 12 hours - after that I stop backup manually.
Also, in attachment you can find screenshot where you can see that I am using "Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS)" - maybe I should change this setting or disable it? On server we are running very important service with a MS SQL server and a lot of DB.
I have to mentioned, that I have change settings on "Shadow Copies" for all drives, but only the "maximum size" setting.
Thanks for helping.

I have discovered that over weekend, backup is finished normally... It takes cca. 13 hours, but without errors (Total amount of data that for backup = 600GB)
I have to mentioned, that on this server we are running our DMS system, and a lot of users are reading/writing on SQL DB. Is this maybe a problem?

Update -> Full backup is finished now also without errors. After weekend (Windows updates + Server restart), backup is now performing without error.
One thing only that is bugging me -> Complete backup for cca. 600GB of data takes cca. 13 hours. For task "locking partition 0-0" Acronis needs cca. 12 hours, and for transfering data only 1 hour (see screenshot attached).
What is happening during lock partition 0-0 in the background? Can users / system work normally during this tasks?
Thank you.

Hello Marin,
I can't tell you what is happening exactly. It is one of the pre-snapshot or snapshot operations, but this would have to be investiaged to find out which ones exactly (you can create a ticket for this). For example, the SQL writes could be the cause of this issue that is blocking something. It could be VSS related or something in our product.
Users and system can work normally during this time.

I cannot create a ticket because of my support renewal...
Does anybody have the same situation that can help me...
