Incremental backup failed with error message"poor media quality"

Thread needs solution

i have created a backup which contains two disks of my server using acronis backup advanced 11.5. destination location is a remote office and i configured a ftp server on a windows pc over there. specified that ftp location as destination while creating backup job.

connection speed over the internet between both location is 10Mbps approximately. backup size was almost 53GB so it automatically split the tib files in 2GB parts. it took around 15 hours to complete the task. backup done successfuly. The problem is, when i try to run an incremental backup of that first full backup, it failes with the following error. "acronis backup failed. a possible reason may be poor media quality. click retry to continue with volume 27".

What can i do?.

Hi!

First of all, if you aren't using the latest build - update to 50088 and re-create a backup. If the issue persists, I'd try splitting archives into smaller parts https://kb.acronis.com/content/59091 to see if this is a timeout issue or not. If still no clue what the issue could be, I'd recommend contacting Acronis support for investigation or backing up to a network share without FTP as workaround.

Thank you,
