Is it possible to use a workgroup server as the storage node, then connect to a remote Domain NAS to store backups

Thread needs solution

Hi,

On Acronis 11.7, I have been told that its possible to use a storage node, that isn't in the same location of the file path that is specified to store the information. eg storage node= B&R server. File path= remote NAS

I think its just a matter of selecting the file path while creating the back-up plan, and entering the domain log in info but I would like to be sure.

Hello Joanne,

thank you for your posting! Yes, Acronis Storage Node can be installed on a separate machine, we even suggest this in case of managing locations with the enabled deduplication. I'd recommend starting with https://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/AcronisBackup_11.5/…
