License for KVM guests
Hi,
I have just ordered a Backup Advanced RHEV license, but I am unable to add KVM linux guests with agents installed. I have one RHEL host running KVM guests on it, but I have no RHEV-M (the management interface comes with RHEV to manage the virtual machines). From the documentation, it says I have to add the RHEV-M host while adding virtual machines and I have no RHEV-M host as I've said.
I'm wondering if I have ordered the wrong license and I should be ordering the "Universal License". I have just noticed that I had been using the "Universal" license and everything worked out at the time of my trial period.
Thanks,
Adrian

You are right, sorry about that. I just stopped at the screen that said I had "deficient license", saying that I was missing the "Linux Agent" license. In fact, I had to click on the "view license mapping" and specify the right license to use.
Thanks a lot, now everything works.
One more thing, if I want to upgrade to Universal, is that possible by paying the difference or I have to request for deactivation of my current license, refund and order a new license?
Thanks,
Adrian

Hi Adrian,
Thank you for the additional details, I'm glad to hear it worked finally :) What concerns your question: you can upgrade your license to Universal without refunding the existing one. It's better to contact Acronis Sales team in order to get detailed instructions: see http://www.acronis.com/en-us/enterprise/sales/
Thank you.
