License not accepted on XenServer OpenVZ VM

Thread needs solution

Hello,

in my Citrix XenServer environment I have a CentOS VM with OpenVZ installed (Linux 2.6.32-042stab106.6 #1 SMP Mon Apr 20 14:48:47 MSK 2015 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux).

I installed the last 11.7 build  of Acronis Backup Advanced for Linux64 but when trying to get license from the license server I get an error for license not found.

In the same environment I have multiple CentOS VM that works just fine. The license used on the license server is an Acronis Backup Advanced for XenServer.

Is the license check fail because OpenVZ is installed?

Thanks

Best Regards

Andrea

Hi Andrea,

The behavior you describe looks like a bug. You should contact our support team for assistance so that we can try reproducing the problem and also provide you with a viable temporary workaround for the problem. Likely it will be some separate Acronis Backup 11.7 license key, so that you can use the product, while the problem is being fixed on our side, but still investigation will be required first.

Thank you.
