loading images extremely slow to display contents

Hi All,

Wondering if anyone has experienced this before.
Basically when trying to recover an image from a remote location the load time for the folder takes around 10-15minutes to produce a list of whats in the folder

is this expected from the backup server accessing remote sites and is there any way to make his process faster? or a better way of recovering these files?

I've attached an image location i am writing about.

After this inital load time the recovery process is quick as its recovering from a nas drive and pc at the remote site.

From the wan monitoring i can see the nas and acronis server are transfering about 25 kbps CIFS in both directions.
