"management server has not been backed up"

Dear Acronis reader,

These last few weeks(even months) we receive an alert from our management server that "management server has not been backed up, And in that alert the affected machine. See screenshot of the alerts.

The weird thing of this all is that I already went to: All machines with agents --> connected directly to that server --> went to machine options --> Went to Time-based alerts and changed the message "Acronis Backup Management server has not been backed up" from 5 to 8 days.

What am I doing wrong?

Many thanks,

David Dahles

Hi David,

Can you please clarify which build of Acronis Backup 11.7 you are using? I've found some relatively old known issues fixed in latest builds, but not sure whether these issues are applicable to the behavior you describe. Also according to the screen shots the alert appears each 7 days, which aligns with your settings (alert pops up when the 8th day starts). The text of the alert also matches the behavior "management server has not been backed up for more than 5 days".

Thank you.

Hi Vasily,

Thanks for your update.

We are currently on buil 11.7.50058.
Should we extend these 8 days to 9 then so this alert is not popping up?

Thanks in advance,

David

Hi David,

If you're backing up the management server on weekly basis, then yes, increasing the alert setting up to 9 days should help in your scenario. If not then please contact our support team for assistance (there could be a new bug related to this specific setting, which needs to be revealed).

Thank you.

Dear reader,

After the message on the third of november, we changed the notifications to 9 days. Please see screenshot "Time-based alert". Please note that I changed this previously when connecting directly to the affected server.

I see that the last successful backup was on the 26th, what is 5 days and it will backup this sunday again.

Any ideas?

Many thanks

Hi,

According to your description the issue looks like the one I'd report to the support team. Seems that the specified preferences are being ignored.
