Meaningless warnings
Hi!
The Exchange backup module logged some warnings regarding the throttling policy for the backup user. To get rid of those warnings I have permanently set the throttling policy of this user to 'ArxThrottlingPolicy' which (according to the log) is used temporarily for backing up.
But... That didn't remove the warning, instead the warning has changed to something like 'ArxThrottlingPolicy' is preventing backup from running and has therefore been changed temporarily to 'ArxThrottlingPolicy' !??? Funny for the first time, but it get's annoying after several days :-)

Is there any way to turn this warning off? It doesn't affect the backup at all and I don't want to read about it day by day.

Christian

Peter,
I don't think that the behaviour is as expected, because as I've already said the backup user is already using the policy which ABR "temporarily" sets. But anyway I changed the registry as described in the KB article you mentioned, but I'm still getting the same warning in the log.
Any other suggestion to get rid of this senseless warning?
Regards
Christian

Hello Christian,
Thank you for your reply.
Unfortunately, there is no way to disable this warning. This warning is serious and informs you, that Acronis replace a security policy during backup. That is necessary in order to back up your Exchange data.
However, I discussed this with my local product management as feature request for future versions.
If there is anything else, we can do for you, please let me know.
Thank you.

Hello Peter!
Has this issue been fixed with Update 1? Our customers are still complaining about a backup log that looks like there are problems when actually everything is okay...
Thanks
Christian

Hello Christian Walling,
Thank you for your reply.
I found the information, that it is implemented in Update 1. You only should receive a warning in this two conditions then:
- when changing the policy is prohibited by the registry key, or
- when setting the policy has failed
See more information about Update 1 for Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5.
If you need additional assistance, please create a system report of the affected machine and contact support. You will find all available support options in our Customer handbook.
If there is anything else we can do for you, please let me know.
Thank you.
