missing TIB Files...
Hi,
we lost tib files due to a hardware failure. Since then, Acronis Backup can no longer clean up the archive because it always gets stuck with the missing TIB files.
How can I clean up the meta information?
I found the following article (https://kb.acronis.com/content/47159) but it doesn't work for us.
We use Acronis Backup 11

Hello Maria
thank you very much for your answer
I see the "Refresh" button but it doesn't change the number of backups in the list.
I also tried editing the XML this morning but it didn't change anything either. The list with the backups remains the same.
To make my backup jobs run again I have created new archives for the backup jobs. Now my backup works again but there are not enough backups to see if the cleanup of old backups works.
And there still remain the old archives with the backup jobs that I don't get deleted. Unfortunately they occupy the space I will need soon.

Hello Franz,
the most simple way is to wait till there are enough backups in new archive to check how cleanup rules work.
Otherwise, please share with us the following information:
1) please make a screenshot of the vault with backup slices;
2) the list of backup files in the old archive :
- Open Start -> Run -> CMD
- Execute the following commands:
# cd folder_where_backups_are_stored
# dir > c:\dir.txt
check that dir.txt contains the required information and send it to us;
3) the .XML metafile so we can edit it.

Hello Maria,
I already tried to edit the xml file, but it didn't work for me. Maybe or probably I did something wrong. I uploaded the requested data here.

Hello everyone,
we have created new archives in personal vault. After 14 days, we renamed the XML files of the old archives and restarted the Acronis services. Then all the old archives (with the missing TIB files) were gone. After that we deleted the remaining TIB files from the old archives.
Editing the XML file itself did not work for us.
thanks for your help...

Hello Franz,
sorry for the delayed response.
Glad to hear that you found a workaround.
I have updated your .xml files: you can find them on the FTP link I generated for you (sent in Private Message) if you still need them.
The cleanup rules did not work because they could be applied to a set of backups (e.g. at least 2 full ones). Thus, in "Daten an NAS" archive there was only 1 full backup created in January, the previous full backup created in December was absent - so, we deleted all subsequent ones created until next full in January.
