Recovery Task failed

Thread needs solution

Attempting to do a Disk & Volume recovery to a machine that has had an incorrect recovery performed on it previously.
Used Disk Management to delete Disk 1 (OS & System location) leaving the other disk with partitions (backup location as well).
With both recovery types it fails with similar errors, looking at the error log it seems to both show missing file. I am assuming that it is talking about the MBR file as the system will not boot to windows and tries to launch Windows Start Up repair (also fails).

Hello Chris,

thank you for posting on Acronis forums!

Please make sure that you've selected MBR in the Backup contents section. Please follow these step-by-step instructions (see Recovery part): https://kb.acronis.com/content/35681

If it does not help, please share with us a screenshot with source and target disks/volumes selection during recovery and the exact error message you receive.

Hello Chris,

Please check your Private Messages in My Account tab. I have sent you a link to an ISO file with Acronis Cyber Backup 12.5 trial version which allows doing recovery without a license. Please try this variant.

Can you please explain what the error code is, what it means and why I need to use 12.5 when you mention a recovery without a license?

Hello Chris.

Could you please provide us with any update on this issue? Have you succeeded in recovering with Acronis Cyber Backup 12.5 ISO disk?

If the problem still remains, please reproduce the problem (until reboot!) with 12.5 version and collect recovery logs by accessing Help->Collect System Information. Please upload these logs to an FTP link that I've sent you in a Private Message.
