Hello Toshio Shimada,

Thank you for posting this issue in our forum.

I have used the smart error reporting to find this article from our knowledge base. Can you please follow the instructions and give me feedback if this solves the issue.

In this situation I recommend contacting support. You can find all available options in our Customer handbook.

If there is anything else we can do for you, please let me know.

Thank you.

If article referenced doesn't help( this error doesn't seem to occur on systems other than Windows 2003 or XP and packages other than media builder) - there is an antivirus according to ms mystem information - try to disable it temporary or add all acronis-related files to exclusions ( http://kb.acronis.com/content/36429 )

Thanks for comments

I am not using 2003 or XP, but 7.
And this is new install, not update.

I unistalled antivirus, but nothing changed.

Hello Toshio Shimada,

Thank you for your reply.

Regardless of whether it is a new installation or an upgrade, it would be important to know if you have followed the MS KB article.

In this situation I recommend contacting support. You can find all available options in our Customer handbook.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank you.

I get that same exact error (0x00624E29+0x0000FFF0+0x80070643) on attempting to update from True Image Echo Server for Windows (with Universal Restore) on Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition (32-bit). Here is the thing: I saw KB925336, applied the Hotfix anyway... and rebooted. It did not resolve the problem.

I am attempting to update to Acronis Backup & Recovery Server 11.5 with Universal Restore. Installation stops with the error code above while installing the 11.5 Agent Core.

I am remote from the server so I will provide the log and machine info on Monday...

Hello Carlos Gutierrez,

Thank you.

Unfortunately this error code is displayed as a result of almost every installation error. Only installer logs (collected as a part of system information) http://kb.acronis.com/content/2707 may help.

Peter,

Yes, I had read that article from the Acronis knowledgebase and also Microsoft's KB925336 referenced therein and applied the Hotfix suggested; however, as I mentioned above, it did not resolve the issue.

I need to address this with Customer Suppport; just haven't had the time today unfortunately. I'll try to post the install log in a sec...

Oh, I thought the error codes were more differentiated... :(

So it is possible, even likely that my core agent installation failure is a different animal...

Ok, I have included two attachments... one is just the screen showing the error number and the second is the installation log. I have to admit the installation log is arcane to me, but perhaps someone here might see something obvious...

Unfortunately, I'm having a hectic day and have had no time to even try to contact support... I hope the log is useful.

Thanks,
Carlos

Hello All,

Thank you for your posts and messages in this thread.

I recommend to contact support. Please find more information about this step in our Customer handbook.

If there is anything else I can do for you, please let me know.

Thank you.

Carlos, you need to uninstall True Image Echo components (Agent and Universal Restore) from control panel, them attempt to install version 11.5 again. Normally Echo should have been detected as incompatible with 11.5 and uninstalled automatically before installation, but as it not happened, installer assumed that the upgrade is performed from some newer version and failed with error - "failed to detect mms service user". The corresponding bug seems to be fixed in nearest update of 11.5.

Thanks Fedor, that makes sense... I'll try uninstalling True Image Echo and then installing 11.5 tonight... and will report back.

Success!!!

I uninstalled Universal Restore, then True Image Echo. Rebooted. Clicked on the 11.5 install and everything appears to have installed smoothly!!

Thanks!
