[RESOLVED] Quick question before I upgrade 11 to 11.5

Thread needs solution

Hi there, just a quick question regarding upgrade 11 to 11.5.
I have 2010 Exchange running on server 2008 R2 as a virtual machine, on a 2008 R2 Hyper-V data center cluster with CSV.
We had a lot of issues initially as the person (not me) who ordered ABR11 did not research that Exchange 2010 was not supported, and purchased the wrong Exchange version. Currently we have ABR11 Agent Core and ABR11 Agent for Windows installed as the backup option (I know its not optimal) along with Windows server backup.
Ok so now that 11.5 does support Exchange 2010, and we have the upgrade set, do we just run the upgrade to 11.5 Exchange Agent, or remove the ABR 11 Agent core and Agent for Windows first, then run the upgrade? Thanks if you can help.

You can find the solution here.

If you have some backup plans that you'd like to preserve you can first upgrade to 11.5 , that will upgrade Agent Core and Agent for Windows to 11.5, then run installer again and (choose 'modify') additionally install Agent for Exchange. If not, or if you are going to backup only Exchange data, not files/folders, you can uninstall version 11 completely and then install 11.5 Agent Core and Agent for Exchange without Agent for Windows. (Agent for Windows and for Exchange are independent from each other)
