[RESOLVED] settings.xml changes Reset/Broken with every product update

Thread needs solution

I already filed a previous ticket about the Component Install through the Web Interface. I am able to make it work, but basically EVERY UPDATE wipes out the changes I made. The list of components available for install through the Web Interface is ALWAYS blank for Windows.

I install EVERYTHING so the components are available but the settings.xml keeps getting reset with every update. This requires me to have to MANUALLY make the changes every single time I perform an update.

If you install ALL the web components, then they should AUTOMATICALLY be made available. This will remove the need to have to keep modifying the settings.xml file.

Acronis provides a page to fix this file, but WHY is it not set correctly with the initial install?
