Restore without overriding network settings

Thread needs solution

Hi there!
I want to backup a system A and restore the backup on a system B without overriding the network settings of system B. So I want to have the installed programs, services and files restored but not the network settings.

Is that possible? If so: How?

Thanks in advance.

Hello Phil,

thank you for posting on Acronis forums!

Please note that Acronis software (and Acronis Backup 11.7 in particular) creates an exact copy of your data (system, disk/volume, entire machine, files/folders/databases etc.) and transfers it by restoring or cloning to the target object as is. However, you could change the network settings on the restored target system after booting this system.

Otherwise, please consider Acronis Snap Deploy 5.0 which allows specifying the network settings on the target system.
