SAN mountpoints do not recover on Acronis 11.5
Hello every one,
i have RHEL 5.6 servers with mount points pointing to the SAN storage.
i'm using Acronis Backup and Recovery 11.5 (build 11.5.37687), i was able to take the backup without any issues however at the time of restore it considered the mountpoints in the SAN as a "special device"
i'm attaching screen shots from both source and target, however this is how the mount point looks in the source
[root@insightproddb ~]# df -h /siebeldb/
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/mapper/vgsiebeldb-lvsiebeldb--01
586G 416G 140G 75% /siebeldb
and as you see in the attachments after the restore on the target if i list /siebeldb or switch user (which has a home directory under /siebeldb) it takes me there but it does not show any data.
Acronis proceeded and completed the recovery very well, but after booting it does not mount it on a local disk. the test server allowed complete restore as the source was also on local disks.. but the prod server is just not restoring those mountpoints that were originally in the SAN.
i'm sure there is a way to get around this "special device" treatment for the SAN mountpoints in Linux restore of Acronis as that mountpoint has all the important data.
