Does anyone has the same issue and how did you resolved it?

I already installed the hotfix (Exchange2003-KB908072-x86).
Unfortunately, I don't have a support contract and was hoping that you guys could help me further.
Does have anyone a suggestion?

Hello Johan Valstar,
Thank you for your reply.
Did you found this message in our error log?
Failed to process the shadow copy operation. See the application event log in Windows Event Viewer for more details.
I suggest to follow this and trace the Windows application log for errors. It seems, that your system needs to be repaired before our product is able to snapshot the machine.
If you need additional assistance, please create a system report of the affected machine and contact support. You will find all available support options in our Customer handbook.
If there is anything else we can do for you, please let me know.
Thank you.

The only error seen during a normal system backup with acronis is :
The server {F309F683-451E-4B7F-8FE8-CDAA83EE3DB3} did not register with DCOM within the required timeout.
The above DCOM belongs to 'Acronis VSS com class' the AcronisUser' is grant to local and remote execute. Also full permission set to the register keys.
I also see : Exchange VSS Snapshot metadata document has been collected.
So, it look likes VSS works for exchange however Acronis failes.
See Acronis-report.txt for more detailed info.

Hello Johan Valstar,
Thank you for your reply.
Please check if you have an active mailbox for the backup plan user. Also please check this article from our knowledge base to solve your issue. Additionally take a look to this article, that describes what to do, if there is an Acronis VSS Provider entry in the registry.
For any reason the output of your Acronis report shows errors on every disk. This can have two possible reasons:
- The drives have errors. This can be checked with chkdsk command (Start -> Run -> cmd -> chkdsk :c /f /r);
- Or the used build of the product is not the latest one. In this case you can download and install the latest available build (11.5.32308)
If you need additional assistance, please create a system report of the affected machine and contact support. You will find all available support options in our Customer handbook.
If there is anything else we can do for you, please let me know.
Thank you.

Thanks for your resonse.
I have look at article 37225 and 37472, everything seems as it should be.
Did a chkdsk c: /f /r on the C: drive. It took 3 hours to complete.
Hereafter tried to backup and now got the error shown below:
Command 'Running backup plan 'Backup 4-3-2013 15:38:11'' has failed.

Yesterday I removed all the Acronis products from my Windows 2003 server and ran the abr_cleanup tool.
Beside that, I removed all what I acronis related stuff (user directories, user accounts etc) and restarted the server.
Ran chldsk C: /F did not found any problem while AcronisReport.exe saw some, see below:
4- d(0) 298G 13M ATA 0-1-4 ST3320620NS
-1 p(1) --CC 298G 298G 71G NTFS 07 NTFS, HPFS Sata P5.... A-E--V
I reinstalled ABR 11.5 again.
What I often see is, when the Microsoft Store starts, the act.exe popups with an error and backup hang.
When act.exe not fails and I try to backup the mailboxes I see the error below:
Error code: 58
Module: 307
LineInfo: c37471ceffa18278
Fields: $module : agent_protection_addon_vs_32308
Message: No backup items were resolved:
[ArxUri=arx%3a%2f%2fis%2fFirst%2520Storage%2520Group%2fMailbox%2520Store%2520(DUIFSRV001),arx::gct::database_2007_and_below]
A generic error of Microsoft Exchange Item Provider.
Failed to browse Microsoft Exchange Server.
Cannot connect to Microsoft Exchange Server.
Failed to connect to the process.
The operation has timed out.
Somehow, I looks like het want to see an Exchange Server 2007 instead of an Exchange Server 2003 (arx::gct::database_2007).
Has somebody else this problem, if not, I will raise a ticket at the support desk.

Hello info@valstarcomputerservice.nl,
Thank you for posting this question in our forum. I am happy to assist you.
Please check first, if you have installed MS Outlook also on this server. If yes, you need to uninstall this from your server. See Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5 for Microsoft Exchange Server: Microsoft Outlook, Which Prevents the Product from Backing Up, Recovering, and Browsing Individual Mailboxes, Is Detected on Exchange Server.
Then please ensure, that you have the right MS Hotfix installed for your MS Exchange Server 2003. See Supported Microsoft Exchange Server versions. If this does not solve the issue try to run the product by modifiing following registry key on the machine, where the MS Exchange Server and Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5 for MS Exchange Server is installed:
Disable environment pre-checks
(!) We recommend to have a full backup of this machine or at least a backup of Windows registry before modifiing any registry key or value.
- HKLM\Software\Acronis\BackupAndRecovery\ArxAgent: DisableEnvironmentPrechecks (dword: {0|1}, by default 0)
This parameter disables the environment "health" pre-check during backup/restore and Exchange Live Browsing.
If some problem fails pre-checks and prevents further operation, then it may be useful to disable pre-operation checks using this registry parameter.
If you need additional assistance, please create a system report of the affected machine and contact support. You will find all available support options in our Customer handbook.
If there is anything else we can do for you, please let me know.
Thank you.

Peter, Thanks for the info.
I created the registry entry as you mentioned (dword value of 1 to disable) .
I also reapplied the Exchange Server Fix KB908072.
In the past MS outlook was installed, but during the first installation of ABR I got the message to uninstall MS Outlook, so I did.
Meaning MS Outlook ins't installed.
After reapply of the FIX I and the registry change I got the error as shown in the attach file.
