Unable to Create Centralized vault

Thread needs solution

First the system details.

OS Windows Server 2008 Enterprise

Server is on a domain

An active Directory account SVC-DII-AcronisVIPBackup has a security group which has administrator rights on the server.

The server is on the same domain as SVC-DII-AcronisVIPBackup

SVC-DII-AcronisVIPBackup has Modify rights to a file share

\\ourdomain.com\dii\AcronisVIPBackup

The file share is mounted on the server as drive z. While logged into the server using the above mentioned AD account, files can be added to the share, edited, and deleted from the share.

Acronis backup advanced 11.7.444.21 has been installed to this server.

The problem I have is when I set the Vault Path and select network folders, then type in the full path, then click ok, I receive a logon prompt. I enter the user name and password. I receive Operation Progress Checking vault...  then I am again prompted for a password and user name.

Checking vault , prompt for password (these two things continue to happen over and over again).

Hello,

Here's the fix in case anyone else is having this issue:

1. Make sure the name of the account you are using is 20 characters or less.

2. When prompted for credentials, be sure to enter them in the following format:

domainame\accountname

For example, if my domain was happytown and my user name was bsmith, I would enter the user name as:

happytown\bsmith

3. Be sure that the account you are using has full control permissions on the network share you are trying to connect to.

See the attached image for a graphic displaying the full control permission settings.
